MGM Resorts International, the owners of the Mandalay Bay, where the Las Vegas massacre occurred, released an audio recording of security officer Jesus Campos reporting shots fired on the 32nd floor of the hotel.

What is interesting to note is that there is no timestamp on the recording and MGM has given no reason why they released the recording now.

“Hey, there are shots fired in 32-135,” Campos, 25, tells a dispatcher in the 24-second audio recording.

Campos was shot in the leg while approaching Paddock's room. The timeline of events -- particularly when Campos shot -- had come into question since the massacre, although now it appears the consensus is that he was shot before the rampage took place.

Following the massacre, Campos vanished from public view, skipping out on several media appointments he had been scheduled to fulfill, followed by a softball interview on the Ellen Degeneres Show.

As was stated on this website previously, "It's very curious how Ellen was selected as the platform to deliver Campos' answers. First, she is a comedienne, not a journalist, and second, and even more important, she appears to have a vested interest in MGM's Mandalay Bay -- Ellen Dance Party slot machines -- where the massacre occurred. In addition, the producers of the Ellen Show are not saying how they landed the interview. Very curious indeed." -- IFPO
