For the uninitiated, VidCon is an annual gathering of "Internet-famous" personalities and their fans, or, as wikipedia describes it,  "a multi-genre online video conference, held annually in Southern California since 2010. Originally conceived by Hank and John Green of the Vlogbrothers YouTube channel, the convention is the largest of its kind in the world, gathering thousands of online video viewers, creators, and industry representatives worldwide."

As with any event, security is a must. And, inevitably, with thousands of people packed into one location, chances are, incidents will occur. Another almost-certainty is the verbal abuse endured by security officers, whether at an event, or elsewhere. At this year's VidCon, one such incident, the details of which are not known, prompted an ugly, haughty and possibly ill-informed response from an Instagram model named Christian Burns. -- IFPO

An Instagram star has gone viral after a video of him berating security guards was posted online.

Christian Burns got into an argument with guards at VidCon, the annual conference for social media celebrities held in Anaheim, California from June 21-25, which draws some of the biggest names on the internet.

In a video shared on Youtube Thursday, the Canadian social media model, who has 29,500 followers, can be seen yelling at two bouncers outside the conference after watching a group of them take down an 'innocent' man.

Speaking to two of the guards blocking the door, Burns says: 'Dude I'm famous, and you're not, so you listen to me.'
One of them laughs and responds: 'That doesn't make you better than me,' which seemed to only further enrage Burns, who replied: 'I make a lot more money than you.'

He continued on this verbal attack, saying: 'You're not famous, you're irrelevant and you're ugly. I'm attractive as f***, I make a lot of money.

However, another video gives a bit more context to the altercation, and shows the tussle went down after a group of security guards tackled a man Burns believed to be innocent.

The group appeared to have the man in a choke-hold, and dragged him from outside the conference center into the main lobby, before forming a barrier at the doors so no others could get in.
