MARTIN COUNTY FL MAR 2 2018 -- A two-year plot to rob two armored bank vehicles and murder the security guards ended in high movie-like drama on Interstate 95 in Martin County at around 9 am on February 20th.

Three suspects plotting to commit the violent robbery were arrested just hours before they could pull off the deadly heist, according to the Martin County Sheriff's Office.

Federal agents from the FBI’s Safe Street Task Force were part of the dramatic takedown of the three suspects accused of plotting the violent robbery of an armored bank vehicle scheduled to pick up millions of dollars.

According to a federal affidavit, the group had planned to rob an armored truck picking up a large bank run from the PNC Bank in the 1300 block of Southwest Gatlin Boulevard in Port St. Lucie.

The suspects mapped out a plan to steal millions of dollars before shooting and killing the two employees in the truck.
