Jacksonville FL May 22 2017 A Jacksonville woman was jailed without bail after a video of a brawl in Simonds-Johnson Park raced across the internet and social media on Friday.

Jontaianna D. Pitts, 18, was arrested Saturday on felony charges of aggravated battery – causing great bodily harm, and battery on a security officer, and a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Pitts remained jailed without bail Sunday at the Duval County jail, records showed.

Police said the brawl happened Friday at Simonds-Johnson Park at 3730 Moncrief Road, following an earlier fight at 3000 Moncrief Road. The incident was captured on video by several people and circulated on FaceBook and YouTube then relayed to the Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.

The Sheriff’s Office in a post on its Facebook page said the video provides the following account of the incident:

The video showed Pitts fighting with a woman at 3000 Moncrief Road – striking her several times with a closed fist while the victim defended herself but didn’t fight back.

A uniformed security guard stepped in and tried to stop the fight. Pitts is seen striking the security guard several times on his body in an attempt to prevent him from stopping the fight. The security guard sustained several abrasions to his arms.

About 90 minutes later, a brawl involving the same people broke out at Simonds-Johnson Park, and recorded on videos that were shown on Facebook Live.

During that fight, Pitts armed herself with a baseball bat she got from her mother. Pitts struck two victims several times in the head and body while both were lying on the ground.
