Two other men and a teen, who's being charged as a juvenile, also were charged in connection to the shooting at the club in the 5900 block of Melton Road, police said.

Althirty Hunter, 18, and Donald Payne, 20, both from Gary, were each charged with two counts of resisting law enforcement, one misdemeanor and one felony. The juvenile was referred to the Lake County Juvenile Division, police said.

The guard had helped another guard when Woodson and a dancer began arguing and it became physical, according to court records.

Woodson "became angry and began to physically fight" with the guard, according to a probable cause affidavit. The guard kicked Woodson out of the club and Woodson left with Hunter, Payne and a third person, according to court records.
