Sandi Davies, Executive Director, International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO), was honored at the 3rd Annual ASIS Women in Security Council 'Karen Marquez Honors' event during the ASIS International 61st Annual Seminar in Anaheim, California.

The prestigious honor is presented annually to four ASIS International security professionals. All of the honorees, and those who were nominated, have consistently worked for the betterment of the security industry over an extended period to “Support, Inspire and Promote” women in the industry.

Sandi was instrumental in developing security officer training programs for a major national guard company. In 1988 she joined the newly formed International Foundation for Protection Officers, culminating in 1991 with her being named Executive Director. She has been a driving force in developing IFPO programs worldwide. Sandi is a Quarter Century member of ASIS International and has served in various executive positions at the chapter level. Sandi is a member and former chair of the ASIS International Security Services Council and a member of the Women in Security Council.

“Sandi has been a steady hand at the helm and dynamic leader of IFPO for more than 17 years” said Rick Daniels, CPP, CFE of danielsgroup International LLC and Chairman of the IFPO Board of Directors. “She has worked very hard on a great many initiatives, including security officer training and certification programs”. Daniels went on to point out that “the increased professionalism and respect for Security as a profession that we enjoy today has been significantly enhanced by Sandi’s efforts.”
