LOS ANGELES CA July 21 2017 A security officer was killed and three other men were wounded in a shooting during an attempted armed robbery at a popular marijuana dispensary in South Los Angeles Wednesday night.
The shooting occurred at 9:50 p.m. at a pot shop in a nondescript building on South Broadway, just south of Imperial Highway, near the 10 Freeway.

Los Angeles police arrived to find a male security officer dead on scene.
A second man was rushed to a hospital, where he underwent surgery for gunshot wounds to the chest, police said.
Two other suffered non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. No names were released.
Police are not reporting if the security officer was armed or what company he was employed with.

According to police, three or four male suspects were attempting to rob the dispensary when the shooting occurred.
According to police, a security officer was also shot and killed at the same pot shop about one year ago. The details of that shooting were not immediately confirmed.

They remain at large. Investigators were on scene for several hours well into Thursday morning collecting evidence.
