Demand for
the Security Supervision and Management program, which
was developed in 1990 by the International Foundation
for Protection Officers (IFPO), has continued to grow.
As new components were added to the program, a more
current, relevant course text had to be developed.
The result was the forging of an alliance between
the IFPO and Butterworth-Heinemann and over 40 of
some of the industry’s leading security supervisors,
authors, educators and consultants, who collectively
contributed to the production of the “Security
Supervision: Theory and Practice of Asset Protection
– Second Edition”, Butterworth-Heinemann,
1999.
The book for security leaders is here, it will serve
participants in the Security Supervisor program and
it will be a valuable reference for all protection
practitioners.
Chapters include such topics as: Future of Private
Security, Security Personnel Selection, Motivation
and Evaluation, Security Officer Scheduling, Interpersonal
Communications, Staff Training and Development, Company
