Certified Public Events Officer
In keeping up to date on current issues, topics covered
in this series illuminate the challenges officers must consider
in the areas of security, terrorism and "critical incident
management." This track is designed for the career
minded protection officer who desires to achieve the highest
level of specialty area certification. The OCT level builds
upon the knowledge acquired by students in the OBT and OST
basic course work; it contains 7 hours of specific coursework
in Homeland Security I: Emerging Threats, Homeland Security
II: Weapons of Mass Destruction I, Homeland Security VI:
Domestic Terrorism, Homeland Security VII: Crisis Management,
HAZMAT, Fire Safety Basics, and Physical Security I: The
Fundamentals. The courses are delivered on-line or in CD-ROM
format.
