Physical Security Specialty Program
The Physical Security series examines basic protection practices
of layered security and defense in depth. This series is
recommended for contract and proprietary protection officers
seeking understanding and awareness of the physical security
concepts of planning and conducting surveys, security plans,
and access control measures. Today's security officer must
understand advanced technologies, capabilities, weaknesses,
and deployment strategies. Building upon the OBT level of
training, this career track includes 5 hours of specialty
coursework in Physical Security I: The Fundamentals, Physical
Security IV: Intrusion Detection Systems, Homeland Security
I: Emerging Threats, Interviews and Interrogations, and
First Aid. The courses are delivered On-line or in CD-ROM
format.
