Apple Valley Police Capt. Nick Francis said there are no criminal charges being sought against the security officer. The School District cleared Rieck of any wrongdoing. He will remain an employee of the district and has no discipline in his record, according to the district, which said it could not comment further.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group, said Rieck had used excessive force in removing a Muslim student during an altercation at the school on June 1.
