This month, the International Foundation for Protection Officers' status as an ASIS Preferred Provider was renewed. Here's what it means for you and your continuing education in security:
The Preferred Provider Program provides organizations with the opportunity to award re-certification continuing professional education (CPE) credits for their security- or business management-related continuing education offerings.
ASIS-approved activities can be easily identified by the Preferred CPE Provider Program logo by those searching for continuing education toward their recertification. Each pre-approved activity must prominently feature the Preferred CPE Provider logo.
The IFPO will continue to:
• Have an interrupted access to the Preferred CPE Provider Community in Connects where you may access the new program logo for use on your website on the course descriptions, marketing materials, certificates of attendance, and letters of participation.
• Be listed on the Directory of Preferred CPE Providers linking directly to your course offerings page using the URL submitted as part of the application.
The International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) is dedicated to providing meaningful and cost effective security training for security guards and protection officers.
We believe that education is a necessary and essential part of professional security training and the security officer’s background. IFPO serves individuals, security companies, and organizations that have their own private security staff. Our students and members benefit from the recognition and standing that the prestigious IFPO certification conveys.
