Indeed, the virus has caused businesses to work security into their budgets, as PrivateOfficerBreakingNews reported, "Private security officers are being called to the front lines to keep the peace, direct traffic and to ensure that shoppers play nice."

Still, the onset of the virus has triggered other employers to lay-off security officers, "More than 300 security officers working in the tourism industry in Nashville have no one to protect as restaurants, bars and honky-tonks have been shut down. Hotels have begun laying off staff including security as many reservations have been canceled."
