As a sign of our dedication to the education of security professionals in these difficult times, the IFPO is offering a 20% discount on the Initial Security Officer Program (ISOP). The golden standard for those launching a career in security, the ISOP offers essential, practical information on such topics as the nature and role of private security officers, observation and incident reporting and the principles of communication.
IFPO social distancing
With continued onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) nationwide -- and in compliance with President Trump’s urging for U.S. residents to exercise social distancing -- the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) office remains operational, but under modified conditions.
“We are working but some employees have opted to work from home in order to participate in social distancing,” IFPO Executive Director Sandi Davies said. “We are operational but may be delayed due to reduced employee participation.”
Throughout this pandemic, the IFPO’s employees will remain committed to our members, partners and students. Lines of communication will continue to be open, but please allow up to 48 hours for return correspondence.
Whether at work, home or elsewhere, please apply these preventative measures to mitigate the proliferation of the virus:
- Practice social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Stay home if you are running a fever.
- If you do get sick with flu symptoms, you should stay home and avoid contact with other people except to get medical care. The CDC recommends that you stay home for at least 24 hours after your fever is gone except to get medical care or other necessities.
Yours in solidarity, safety and security. -- IFPO.
The International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) is dedicated to providing meaningful and cost effective security training for security guards and protection officers.
We believe that education is a necessary and essential part of professional security training and the security officer’s background. IFPO serves individuals, security companies, and organizations that have their own private security staff.
