Ireland and Northern Ireland join IFPO UK, representatives appointed to board

Here's an update from IFPO UK's Mike Hurst:

"Following the launch of IFPO UK in the summer, there was a great deal of interest from both Northern Ireland and the Republic. As a result of this interest from both individuals and organisations, IFPO Ireland was launched and an Irish landing page launched on the website www.ifpoireland.ie.

Garry Bergin PC MSc FSyI F.ISRM CPOI® M.Sec.I.I. and Paul Kellett DSM PC; MSc; CPOI®; EMII-M; M.Sec.I.I were appointed to join the Advisory Board of the renamed IFPO UK & Ireland.

IFPO membership and its certifications would appear to fit well with the Irish economy. There are 53 operational data centres in Ireland and €4.5bn worth of inward investment is forecast from the construction of new data centres forecast by 2025."

For those outside of Ireland and the UK, that means there is a lot of opportunities for security officers.
