Issue #3 of the International Foundation for Protection Officers UK newsletter has been released and front-and-center in the news is the launch of the IFPO UK app. This is a fantastic announcement, which will no doubt enrich communication among the security industry in the United Kingdom. Here is a description of the app from the newsletter:
Communicating with members and providing them with timely information is a priority for IFPO UK and here is where the App will help. With the App you will be able to read our Newsletters, access a news feed from the SIA and there are links to relevant security magazines.
The App also has links to other sources of information that can help IFPO UK members. All the IFPO UK social media, (Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook) is
available in one place and users will be able to sign up for our Certificates and Certifications from the app.
The messaging service means that we can send import and urgent messages and by enabling push notifications users will be alerted to important updates and new
features.
We will launching a Members’ Forum in the next few weeks that will allow members to interact better, share information and access a searchable library of articles and videos. There will also be resources to support members in their professional and personal lives. You can download the app from Apple and Google Play stores and via
