The IFPO, through one of it directors, Joop Verdonk, CPP, who is also managing director of the European Security Academy, has announced that it has expanded its presence throughout Europe, by way of several universities. Here they are:
- AVANS Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. University of Applied Sciences, which offers the Certified Protection Officer (CPO) program.
- AVANS Breda, Netherlands. University of Applied Sciences, also offering the CPO program.
- InHolland, Rotterdam, Netherlands, University of Applied Sciences, also offering the CPO program.

- Saxion Apeldoorn, Apeldoorn, Netherlands, University of Applied Sciences. CPO program is a formal part of their foundation course. Sitting the exam is on a voluntary basis.
- LOI (Leiden Educational Institutions), Leiderdorp, Netherlands. The CPO program is a formal part of the Bachelor Security Management program.
- Rheinische Fach Hochschule, Keule, Germany. One of the two privately-run universities in Germany.
