The City of Toronto, Canada, is looking for three individuals to fill positions as senior security coordinators. The job description reads, "Reporting to various Supervisors of Building Security, the Senior Security Coordinator provides and maintains a high level of security and life safety services to City employees and members of the public visiting City facilities."

Here are a few of the responsibilities:

-- Implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures regarding program specific requirements.

-- Supervises the day to day operation of all assigned staff including the scheduling, assigning and reviewing of work.

-- Authorizes and coordinates vacation and overtime requests. Recommends disciplinary action when necessary.

-- Provides input into and administers assigned budget, ensuring that expenditures are controlled and maintained within approved budget limitations.

 

And some of the qualifications:

-- Post-secondary education in a discipline pertinent to the job function combined with relevant security experience, or the equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.

-- Considerable experience in modern corporate building security for large and small building complexes.

-- Considerable experience with various security hardware, software, keying and systems.

-- Experience providing work direction, leading, coaching and/or training staff.
