Certified Crime Scene Management

Crime Scene Management is critical to investigations in the criminal justice system.  This course provides guidance for a proper response, photography, diagrams, physical evidence collection, crime scene processing, impression evidence, bloodstain patterns, documentation, interviewing, and report writing. These principles can be applied by all first responders.

Certified Critical Incident Management (WMD)

Critical Incident Management is designed to help leaders with the operational knowledge and management tools during a potential CBRNE emergency. The initial assessment and management decisions are key for future outcomes.  This course identifies leadership skills necessary to direct and coordinate a CBRNE incident.  Students must demonstrate knowledge of CBRNE weapons, decontamination procedures, and an understanding of personal protective equipment

Certified Critical Incident Preparedness

Critical Incident Preparedness is designed to help individuals with the basics of emergency management, along with planning and responding to an incident through National Incident Management System (NIMS), National Preparedness System (NPS), National Preparedness Goal (NPG), Incident Command System (I-100 & 200), and the National Response Framework (NRF) along with their Essential Support Functions and their roles. This course will help with a general understanding of guidance, standards, and systems. These systems are very important because they are used in emergency events that arise. Students must successfully pass a certification examination with an 80% or higher.

Certified Critical Infrastructure

The nation’s critical infrastructure provides the essential services that underpin American society and serve as the backbone of our nation’s economy, security, and health. Certified Critical Infrastructure will cover the 16 sectors whose assets, systems, and networks, whether physical or virtual, are considered so vital to the United States that their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on the nation. Students must successfully pass a certification examination with an 80% or higher.

Certified Domestic Terrorism

This course examines the history, motives, and tactics of domestic terrorist and extremist groups within the United States. Students will study various groups' activities, intentions, and capabilities to assess their implications on national security.

Certified Public Information Officer

This course covers the duties of public safety PIOs along with the value of their work with the news media and the general public. Course material includes reviewing the fundamental writing skills, journalistic writing, press release writing, organizing a PIO office, handling a crisis and First Amendment legal aspects.
