Initial Security Officer Program (Offered by Open Security Exchange)
This course provides online training to help improve the knowledge and performance of private security officers part of an initial training program. The training is designed to assist security agencies, and officers, to meet many of the published private security officer training guideline recommendations.

- Nature and Role of Private Security Officers
- Observation and Incident Reporting
- Principles of
- Communication
- Access Control
- Safeguarding Information
- Emergency Response Procedures
- Life Safety Awareness
- Workplace Violence
Candidates can expect to complete the online training in approximately 14 -18 hours. In order to receive the final certificate of completion and associated continuing education units, the candidate must complete all learning topics, section tests, and a comprehensive final examination with a score of 70% or greater.

Open Security Exchange is a nonprofit organization advances the security profession worldwide by providing a forum for consultants, end-users, government agencies, manufacturers, system integrators, and organizations to mutually define opportunities for Physical & Logical Convergence & Interoperability. Enrollees in the following course will have student information shared with the Open Security Exchange. Candidates that do not wish to have their student records shared with the Open Security Exchange should enroll in the standard ISOP offering.
