As the coronavirus and the subsequent stay-at-home/essential workers only orders remain, there appears to be a pervading sense of restlessness, frustration and anxiety seeping into the country. We have already seen rallies occur in some states, and it appears that there are more planned. Some would argue that local, state and national economies need to get back on track, the orders are oppressive and that leaders should allow a "herd immunity" to happen, while others say the orders are there to mitigate the spread of the disease. Regardless, crowds -- as covered in the latest edition of The Professional Protection Officer -- are cause for concern for security officers. Hopefully, the next steps in approaching the virus -- and any public response to them -- are executed in a safe and peaceful way.  -- IFPO.

In New York, a massive crowd gathered to mourn well-known and loved rabbi, Chaim Mertz, according to TheGatewayPundit:

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (Democrat) issued a warning to the “Jewish community” that he would arrest them for gathering in public as they did for a rabbi’s funeral in the Williamsburg neighborhood Tuesday night.

“My message to the Jewish community, and all communities, is this simple: the time for warnings has passed," according to de Blasio. "I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups. This is about stopping this disease and saving lives. Period.”
