With the prevalence of security cameras and more recently, cellphone cameras, the issue to capturing every frame of human life on video has heightened.More police departments are at least exploring the concept of body cameras, but at the same time, the increase in viral cellphone videos and the criticism that goes with it, may have caused trepidation in law enforcement, leading to an increase in crime.

Computer scientists have created a way of letting law enforcement tap any camera that isn’t password protected so they can determine where to send help or how to respond to a crime.
