The IFPO recently unveiled a new logo to exemplify the organization's presence around the world and the global nature of modern security. The logo encompasses a globe to represent our members, students, graduates, and instructors in more than 50 countries and our diversified board of directors from Canada, the United States,
Ecuador, and the Netherlands. It confirms commitment to our partners and affiliates around the world to work together, establishing training standards, improving job performance, and furthering education within the security industry.
The revamped logo also introduces the color purple to symbolize the intermingling of all the blues, greens, tans, whites, reds, gold, and silver found in security uniforms and insignia around the world. Purple also represents an important metaphor: whether in the private, public or government security sectors, we work together for the common good - the safety and security of all citizens.

The IFPO's former logo will always be an important part of its legacy, harkening back to the security industry’s earliest days, when warriors armed with swords stood guard over their communities. The book of knowledge symbolizes the academic pursuits of security professionals, whether studying theory, gaining tactical knowledge or sharing best practices. This will always be our mission; to stand guard and increase the
capabilities and professionalism of protectors everywhere.
With our strong heritage and reputation as a foundation, IFPO is scanning the
horizon for new ways to serve and meet the evolving needs of the security industry. The
new logo represents this journey.

We believe that education is a necessary and essential part of professional security training and the security officer’s background. IFPO serves individuals, security companies, and organizations that have their own private security staff.
