A Las Vegas security officer was injured May 3 during a fire at the Stratosphere hotel and casino, according to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue.

Reported at 10:32 a.m. in the men's room behind Bell desk, the fire was quickly extinguished. There was no extension to any other areas of the building, according to the fire department.

The security officer was treated at the scene and released for minor smoke inhalation.

"Toilet paper, seat covers and a dispenser burned, causing about $50 in damage," according to PrivateOfficerBreakingNews. "The fire appears to be a case of arson and the investigation is continuing."
