A 24-year-old woman is being sought after by Mobile police after they said she left a 5-year-old in a store when she was accused of shoplifting.
The Mobile Police Department said that their juvenile detectives need the public's help in locating Debrina Ayranita Scott.

MPD spokesman Donald Wallace said that Scott is accused of shoplifting at the Shoe Station located at 741 Hilcrest Road in Mobile. The incident occurred on Saturday (August 26).
Wallace said when she was confronted by security at the store she took off running across the parking lot. Her 5-year-old son took off running behind her into the busy parking lot and was nearly struck by a vehicle.
Wallace said Scott jumped into her car fleeing the scene and left her 5-year-old son behind.
