Video of the altercation circulated Facebook and YouTube. The video starts as a security officer is talking to Tyler Morris, sitting in his pickup truck, in the Speedway parking lot. The security officer can be seen telling Morris he was driving too fast, which Morris denies in the video. The pair exchange expletives and eventually the shouting turns into a physical fight, at which point two other security guards respond. Morris is eventually picked up and dropped on his back, hitting his head on the pavement.

"It's all a little overwhelming," Tyler Morris said, describing the incident that night. "I've watched [the video] many times."

Morris said he suffered a concussion and his shoulder was pulled out of place during the altercation.

Track President Tim Packman says the Speedway is taking the incident very seriously. He says they've been in touch with police and with Morris' family.

"We're all over this," he said. "There's going to be major changes coming to Wednesday Cruise Night."

Packman wouldn't say what those changes might look like or if they involve the security company and its personnel. He did say he wants events on Wednesday to function more like they do on Friday and Saturday, when he says the Speedway rarely has any issues.

"There has been instances through the years," Packman said, discussing the growing number of issues the Speedway sees on Wednesday nights.
