It is amazing how serendipity can work -- a chain of seemingly random, unexpected events coalescing into a positive pathway.
Take Summer Tapasa for example. Earlier this year, the then-Best Buy employee used some NFL lineman-like tactics to thwart a would-be shoplifter. Her employer, apparently, was none too pleased and subsequently fired her.
But, the viral video of her actions caught the eye of UFC head honcho Dana White, who invited her to Paradise, Nevada for some VIP treatment at UFC 246: Conor McGregor vs Donald Cerrone.
Following that experience, White offered the gracious and humble Hawaiian a job with the UFC as a security officer, which she accepted.
Finding herself immersed in the world of mixed martial arts, Summer developed a new goal: UFC referee.
The road to the Octagon may be long and arduous, but no doubt the intimidating and driven Summer will get there. And once she does, you can guarantee law and order will be kept in the cage.
