A great job by both the victim in this case and the security officer who came to her aid. The alarming part of this entire incident is that the judge in the case, Christine Van Aken, has allowed the defendant, Austin James Vincent, to be released. It may be overused, but the phrase, "miscarriage of justice" is applicable here. Van Aken's excuse of not seeing the video of the attack until she viewed it on the news is flimsy at best. And an ankle monitor is not going to prevent this man from committing further crimes until he is adjudicated. San Francisco is known for having a severe social issues stemming from their homeless problem. This case is just another example of how that is perpetuated. -- IFPO

From PrivateOfficerBreakingNews:

San Francisco CA Aug 16 2019 A San Francisco woman had to fight for her life early Sunday morning after a crazed man attacked her in the lobby of her building.
In video of the incident, a building security guard in the lobby reacted instantly by calling 911 and rushing over to help the victim, Paneez Kosarian.

Finally, Kosarian kicked the assailant away and crawled into the lobby.

Kosarian and the guard closed the front door as the assailant used all his might to try to get inside. Finally, the heavy door closed and the automatic lock clicked.
Kosarian said that when she encountered the man outside her building he seemed to be on drugs.

"He kept saying that [the guard] was a robot and that he is trying to kill her and he asked me, ‘Would you trust me if I am trying to save your life, if I go inside and kill her in front of you?’ That is when I started to panic because that is when I realized this man is capable of basically anything,” she told Inside Edition.

She added that she wanted to thank the guard for saving her.

Cops detained the alleged attacker, 25-year-old Austin James Vincent, on charges of battery, false imprisonment and second-degree robbery. He has pleaded not guilty.

But after all that violence and terror he allegedly inflicted, the judge released him. Vincent is now back on the streets of San Francisco.

The victim is outraged. She even tweeted video of her attack to California Gov. Gavin Newsom with the caption, “the judge...believes that this man is not a danger to our community. Please save our city!!”
